Capital Critics Circle announces nominees

Awards recognize top English-language theatre in Ottawa

The Capital Critics Circle today announced the nominees for the eighth annual English-language theatre awards for plays presented in Ottawa during the 2006-2007 season.

Best professional production: Third Wall Theatre's Betrayal by Harold Pinter. Great Canadian Theatre Company's A Number by Caryl Churchill. The National Arts Centre English Theatre's Scorched by Wajdi Mouawad, translated by Linda Gaboriau. NAC English Theatre's The Wrong Son by Allen Cole.

Best director (professional): Todd Duckworth, She Stoops to Conquer, Third Wall. Peter Hinton, Frida K, NAC English Theatre. John P. Kelley, A Night in November, 7:30 Productions. Natalie Joy Quesnel, Betrayal, Third Wall.
