Natalie Joy's Musings

More blogging?

I just got news from CBC Manitoba that I've been accepted as a blogger for their 2006 Winnipeg Fringe site! Not only is it fantastic free publicity for the many many many shows I'm working on, but I also get to share my views on the other shows I'll get the chance to see. Yay!

Who does this festival think it is? The Winnipeg Fringe?

Ok. So. What the hell? Yesterday, there were people singing at the courtyard. AND dancing. And some were singing at the same time as they were dancing. And drinking. And chatting. And enjoying themselves. My favorite Fringe producer sang Copacabana. My favorite tall cuddly man sang Shake Rattle and Roll. It was all kinda surreal. The Ottawa Fringe has come a long way... and it's good.

I'm kinda excited too because I'm finally planning on seeing shows during the next few days. I'm not going to say which, because I can't promise that I'm going to see all the shows that I feel I should see. My apartment is still a disaster area, what with trying to move out before tour. Also, doing two shows a day yourself can put a kink in scheduling plans. Oh well, such is fringe life.... and it's good.
