Natalie Joy's Musings

Housesitting, MFA reading and two weekends of cleaning later...

I have what looks like a brand new apartment! It was no easy feat, let me tell you. A couple of weeks before Tania moved out, Stewart and I stopped caring about keeping the place clean. You know that there's no point in trying, as it always gets worse when someone's moving mass amount of furniture and boxes around the place. Well, by the time Tania left for tour, it looked like Stewart and I had just moved in! It took us a while, but we've finally cleaned and rearranged the whole place. We still haven't put any artwork on the wall, but since we've been cleaning so much, it's kinda nice to admire the clean white walls for a while.

Stewart and I have also been spending a lot of time out of town lately because we've been housesitting for some friends. With access to an outdoor hottub and a liquor cabinet filled with brandy and scotch, it's amazing Stewart and I have made it into town to clean our own place at all!

With regards to the MFA readings...um... well, they're happening. As usual, it's not all going as quickly as I would like. I'm also thinking about my first semester one-act (one act from a full length play). Wedding planning is also taking up a lot of time. I might enjoy multitasking, but this is getting a bit ridiculous.
