Audition no. 1 (or somewhere between poo and crap)
Like many of my actor-friends (see "Things that I read" for a list), I also go through the pain of auditions. They are few and far between, mostly because I don't look for them... because I'm too busy with school. An opportunity presented itself to me that I would have been stupid to refuse and I had to follow through with it. Our National Theatre institution asked me to attend their general auditions. Now, I was shocked at this invitation... I sent them a CV years ago and was assistant director for one production... why are they calling me now? In fact, I was even more shocked that they wanted to see me than I was that they wanted to see Stewart... and he hadn't even sent them a CV! Anywho, the audition happened and I felt, well, um, bleh. I hadn't prepared an audition in soooo long... I didn't quite feel right. Stewart on the other hand was extremely nervous before the audition and came out feeling great.
I hate my husband. Talented shit that he is.
School is good.
Criminal Genius is going great.
Life is generally good.
Oh, here's a CAFF lottery update for you... Screwed and Clued got accepted for the umptieth time while Enigma didn't make the cut. So, the good news is that Stewart and I at least have something to take on tour next summer. Well, Stewart does. I won't... unless he hires me as a stage manager! Enigma will still apply to the individual fringes, but you never know how that'll turn out.
I hate my husband. Lucky shit that he is.
