I love the media!
Maybe it's just my new-ness to the world of producing, or maybe it's just my sometimes-lack of confidence in what I do, but I'm quite shocked at the amount of media attention Enigma has received already. Alvina Ruprecht of the CBC gave ICARUS a glowing review. The Ottawa Xpress did come through with an article and photo for 52 Pick-up. Even the Ottawa Citizen mentioned us twice in today's article about the Fringe. I guess it pays to sleep with the editors... um, I mean... I guess it pays to write a good quality press release and email it three weeks before the event. yeah...
The Montreal Fringe is going well. Sable and Batalion and their show Hip-Hop 4 Dummeez is selling out most nights and rockin' the house. Those two guys are so sweet and great fun to work with. No problems there.
Stewart and I are a little tired and low energy. We've had to drive into the city every day which takes 3 hours out of our day (we're staying at my Mom's best friend's house... Lynn is an amazing woman... and she also has a pool!) We've also had to commute from Ottawa to Montreal and back quite often to do our tech times for the Ottawa Fringe and perform the last showing of ICARUS tonight. Oh how I love air conditioned venues!
Anywho, that's about it for now. I have to finish my sandwich board to display at the Ottawa Fringe, eat some chocolate ice cream and take a nap. I've had a rough week, I deserve it!

I'd like to mention that Natalie is a great media person. She only sent out a press release for my show and I've gotten a feature in today's Dose, a mention in the Xpress online edition and a potential interview on CBC Radio's All in a Day.
She is, in fact, so talented that she telepathically induced CBC Manitoba into interviewing me. Now that's dedication!
