Bravo Icarus...Bonjour Montréal!

The opening night of ICARUS went extremely well last night. I was terribly proud of all the hard work Guy and Stewart put into this production and it turned out wonderfully. Of course, the director in me still sees all kinds of stuff to tweak and play with, but I'm still happy. We had an intimate size audience, made up mostly of friends and family. Oh how I love a forgiving audience! There was one person who attended the show that I didn't expect... a certain well respected CBC radio theatre reviewer who has never reviewed any of my shows! I already know how much she loves Stewart and Screwed and Clued... let's just hope some of that love gets tossed ICARUS' way!

Presently, I'm sitting right by the front window of a lovely café on St.Laurent street in Montréal. The Grand Prix is on this weekend, so I'm told I need to watch out for celebrities! This café is totally charming with its dark red walls, classical music and tables fulls of men playing chess and talking about philosophy. Stewart and Justin are doing a technical rehearsal for Tales From Another England right now. They have their opening night tonight at the Montreal Fringe. I hope it goes well for them. As for me, I pretty much have the evening off. I could do some reading, or I could take in some shows. Wow, I have a rough life!
