BEST OF VENUE!!!

After another sold-out Bear show AND our first sold-out Zombies show, I was greeted at the beer tent with many congratulations from strangers. Zombies won Best of Venue for Arts Court Theatre! We thought for sure we'd be beat by the Chinese Clown Cabaret. I haven't hid during the entire fringe that they were out nemesis. I didn't even have a chance to see their show, but everyone I talked to loved it, and they were both so darn nice and cute... so I had to hate them! ;-) Irregardless, we found out that we won fair and square which is fantastic for us. Though, it's also sad, because we had planned on seeing the Chinese Clown show when they won best of venue. D'oh.

Another great show that won Best of Venue, and whose final show is not at the same time as the others, is Black Sheep Theatre's Can't Get Started. It's playing at the Mercury Lounge at 8pm tonight. That gives you plenty of time to run back to the main Fringe area to watch the other Best of Venue shows that start at 9:30pm.

On another unrelated note, England plays Ecuador today in the World Cup... Stewart is incredibly sad because he's going to miss much of the second half, because we have a show at 1pm. So, be nice to him if you see him today... he probably will be cranky. Unless England wins, then he won't care.
